there's nothin like the lil carpenter. i actually TRIED to put together this wooden desk drawer by myself.. pitingly discovered that a book of instructions plus some tools won't get you where you want unless you have the strength of a hundred men (okay, i'm exagerrating.. but the friggin thing won't hammer together!!!)

i started at approximately 12:30 pm.. and now, tick tock, the clock stands at 2:29 PM and the desk drawer isn't what it looks like.. I'd like to give myself props coz it's actually STANDING.. but then, you'd know when you're really out of it when you're praising yourself because of a standing piece of loose wood that's of no USE.

just the saddest thing!

So i'll just leave it there for awhile til a manly man comes and fixes it the way its supposed to be fixed. Heaven help that a manly man comes! Ray the handyman says he'd do it for $48 and I clearly won't spend that much money, (unless of course it's on shoes) on a stupid piece of friggin furniture.. i'd much rather die a thousand deaths.. or at least suffer sore hammer-induced fingers.

i guess independence has its limits.. hammer it up for the lil carpenter!clap clap... yeah right. BOO!
