I'm craving for some old school parties. Those manresan parties where people drink and talk and reminisce. Whether we're popular or not in high school is an age old question. Fact of the matter is, we didn't really care. We gossip like normal people, and the fact that we do explains that we're also interested in other people's lives, we're not delusional. We know the world doesn't revolve just around us. We are children of the world. Hate us or love us.

To my dear dear friends.... I miss you so much! I can't believe the first official church wedding within our HS batch and I won't be there. There have been countless tributes for batches in Manresan history and I'm sure many believe that their batch is especially grand. But I think none has enjoyed being children more than the Manresan Batch of 2000.

Frustration cloud over all our educators' faces when they realize our potential and how much we waste it on senseless games. We were fairly competitive. But I believe we are one of those who play more than compete, otherwise, our school would have countless national trophies in our honor. But we have left our monuments in different places. We will be remembered for something else.

Kayty waving that blank illustration in wicked frustration in front of the whole school will forever be etched in my memory. So will the Green Mighty Morphin Power Ranger doll dangling from the third floor. The Winter Wonder Land left in one of the Laboraties will perhaps remain one of the most enchanting mysteries left within Manresa in the year of 2000.

Poetry galleries, giants, rump shaker, ragga muffin girl, the PEPS drama.... we lived through wanting to be cool, not caring and gaining the peter pan syndrome decades ahead of time. The no-nonsense is what I miss. The laughter, the misconceptions. Even the first Friday masses.

The language.

"Sa na pare, labo mo naman, nangtheebz lang ng ballpen. Dali na, basketball pa mamaya sama daw sila napoorcoor. Wag ka pahuli kay barong."

I know no one in the world could ever decipher it but you guys. Long live all that we've done. I hope you guys enjoy the wedding. Enjoy reminiscing the past and live in the future with each others' company.

I have never been prouder to have been part of Manresa Batch 2000. I shall soon wait as some of you make your first pixar film, earn a Palanca award or win a litigation.

I truly believe we are all destined for greatness in our own little ways.
