....is where God tests heaven's weather.

You can have the sun hitting you right and you won't be sweating coz of the wind. I can sleep the whole day and have 'banig' bruises all over me and I won't care coz the sun is with me and the ocean's view caresses my retinas everytime it wakes.

The chill bum vibe is awesome. I remember just sitting by the starbucks in my suit and puruntong --people watching while enjoying my frap and a random grand daddy suddenly popping to bum for a light.

Cuties are cuter, grass is greener, the air is cleaner and the palm trees are more hollywood-esque than ever. I sit there and stare at the people in awe on how their life is lived like this everyday. Hakuna matata indeed.

Another piece of random escape I discovered was skateboarding the boardwalk of Venice beach ....... probably one of the best places for a board rookie. Aces give you the peace sign, skaters give you the 'hang loose' hawaii. My fish is gorgeous ---made out of Hawaiian Koa wood, it can carve the boardwalk like it was the turn of the globe. I remember feeling the rare sense of contentment as I happily swoosh down the end of the smooth surface staring at the palm trees being tickled by the sunset listening to reggae as it bends to the chill beat. Life is good. People should really stop complaining.

At my last day, I knew I had to bring something with me to remember good times. Straight from Malibu beach to the Malibu Country Mart, we drive home slightly disappointed with our star stalking skills. We were in the midst of their vicinity and they still managed to thwarp us! Ayyyy caramba, mga bastardos! I shall channel your inappropriate governor with the words.... "I'll be back!".

But what I've been wanting to do for years and everytime we pass by East Village in New York which owns a thousand parlors, I managed to do in Venice Beach. Getting a grip (literally), I head down the nearest tattoo parlor and acquire a purchase that will stay with me permanently.

"A dolphin tattoo is a great little reminder to yourself to have fun out of life and spend some time just frolicking around and enjoying life."

It also serves as a guardian to dreamers and travellers. Ain't that cool?.My dolphin kickth assth. I will look at it and forever remember my temporary escape. Hakuna matata, cowabunga moments of freedom bliss!
